Protecting my kids

I came across this thought-provoking article tonight, and so I have gone through and deleted all the pictures of my kids and have removed their names.

It's easy to forget that sick people are out there and are actively SEEKING out children. The Shasta Groene case (which is ALL OVER the news here since it was local to our TV station) was eye-opening to me. Joseph Duncan had been driving around, looking for kids, and happened to see her playing in her yard in her swimsuit. After that he would go at night and spy in their windows to find out the lay-out of their home so he could plan his attack to kidnap her.

So while I know that I can't protect them 100%, I can try to do what I can.

Kirstin,
Thanks for sharing that with us. I bookmarked the page and might pass it on myself.
Love and shalom,

PS - when are you going to review Chapter 12? I'm looking forward to it.

Hi Serena! I've been trying to work my way through it and figure out just what I think about it. ;-) I've been under the weather (mastitis maybe?????) and my dh is out of town, so I haven't been able to gather my thoughts properly. But surely soon????? LOL

Yes DEFINITELY!!!!

What? You CHANGED on me??? We're not TWINS anymore?

Holly

Over the top most definitely, but definitely thought-provoking. I know that for ME I'm fine with e-mailing pictures of my kids or even having them on private boards and e-mail loops and such, but anything that can be googled (like a blog) I'm thinking I'm not going to have their pictures on.

Man, why can't it be the 50s anymore??? ;-)

Hee hee Holly, since it's easier to redecorate my blog template than my house, I thought I'd experiment a little.

Groan. I forgot that they have come out with the CDs. *sigh* Thanks for the reminder. *bwg* At least, like you, I think those CDs came about about 3-4 residences ago LOL!
