J (age 3): Mom? Eating lunch? (Translation: Mom? What's for lunch?)
Me: You mean supper?
J: Supper?
Me: It's not suppertime yet. (It's 4:20.)
J: Popcorn?
Me (chuckling): No, we're not having popcorn for supper.
J: Popsicles?
Me: No, we're not having popsicles either.
J: Tomatoes?
LOL! Ya think the kid may be hungry? (If he would have eaten his LUNCH maybe he wouldn't be begging for food right now LOL!)
I find nothing cures hunger like telling them to go get a piece of fruit. Their appetites just vanish.
Oh LOL that is J's main food group. I call him Carb Boy. He eats grains and fruit and nearly nothing else. The only veggie he'll eat is carrots, and RARELY will he eat meat. In fact, that's the only thing he had for lunch today - fruit LOL! He refused his corn dog and mac & cheese!
That is funny. It would be really really funny if it didn't happen at my house daily, some times frequently.
